Every tasting, remembered
Rate drinks 1–10, capture price, place, and tasting notes — and log repeat tastings to see how your palate evolves over time.
Drink tracker & taste journal · iOS + Android
Drinkist is a free drink tracker and taste journal for iOS and Android. Log every wine, beer, cocktail, whisky, and coffee you taste, rate it 1–10, scan the label with AI — and when you can’t decide, photograph the menu and let Smart Pick choose from your own tasting history.

AI Smart Pick
Snap the menu and Smart Pick reads what’s on it, weighs the drinks against the tastings already in your journal, and tells you which one is closest to your taste — with a match score and the reason it landed there.
A safe bet for your taste, or something new. Narrow it by category or mood if you want to.
A menu, a shelf, a fridge, a row of bottles — Drinkist reads the drinks straight off the photo.
A ranked shortlist with a match score, the one-sentence reason behind each one, and anything worth skipping.
Your taste profile is assembled on your phone the moment you scan — your tastings, your ratings, your dials — and sent with that one request. Nothing you log is ever public, and nobody pays to appear in your picks.
New here? Rate a few drinks you already know and set three dials — Intensity, Sweetness, Adventure — and your first pick is already personal. Find your palate type →

The journal
Rate drinks 1–10, capture price, place, and tasting notes — and log repeat tastings to see how your palate evolves over time.
Wine, beer, coffee, tea, cocktails, whisky, spirits — plus custom collections and tags that cut across all of them.
Totals, money spent, average rating, charts by collection, your top-rated list, and a chronological timeline of everything you tasted — the full screen opens with Premium.
Sign in with Apple or Google, add Premium, and your drinks, tastings, photos, collections, and wishlist stay in step on every device. Without Premium, everything stays on the phone you logged it on.
Turn any drink into a personalized share card — photo, rating, and notes — ready for the system share sheet.
Save any Smart Pick in one tap, or add a bottle by hand. Wishlist drinks stay out of your library and out of your stats until you log that first tasting, which moves them across.

AI label scanner · Identify mode
Aim your camera at any label — or pick a photo from your gallery — and Drinkist identifies the drink and fills in the details. One more tap logs a tasting. Smart Pick chooses the drink; the scanner remembers it.

Yes — free to download and use on iOS and Android. The free plan covers 30 drinks, 10 tastings, one AI label scan a day, and three Smart Picks (then one a week). Premium lifts every limit and adds the full stats screen and cloud sync.
Everything you drink — wine, beer, cocktails, whisky and other spirits, plus coffee and tea. Organise them with built-in categories, custom collections, and tags that cut across all of them.
Point your camera at any label — or pick a photo from your gallery — and Drinkist identifies the drink and fills in the brand, type, vintage, ABV, and country of origin, and even drafts tasting notes. One more tap logs the tasting.
Yes — that is Smart Pick. Photograph a menu, a shelf, or a row of bottles and Drinkist ranks what it can read against the tastings in your journal. It works on a wine list, a cocktail menu, or a fridge door, and it needs no venue database, so the bar does not have to be in anyone’s catalogue. Picks are AI-generated, so treat them as a starting point rather than a verdict.
From what you log. Rate a handful of drinks you already recognise and set three dials — Intensity, Sweetness, and Adventure — and Smart Pick has somewhere to start. As you log real tastings, your own history takes over from the dials, so the picks shift as your taste does. You can retune the dials any time under "Tune your taste" in Settings.
Drinks you want to try but have not yet — saved from a Smart Pick in one tap, or added by hand with a name, category, and ABV. They sit apart from My Drinks until you log that first tasting, which moves them across. Scan a bottle you saved earlier and Drinkist recognises it and offers to move it for you.
Yes. Drinkist is on the App Store and Google Play, built from one codebase, and with Premium your journal stays in sync between iOS and Android.
With Premium, yes. Sign in with Apple or Google and your drinks, ratings, photos, notes, collections, and wishlist stay in sync on every device. On the free plan everything is saved on the phone you logged it on.
Vivino is built for wine and Untappd for beer, and both rank drinks by what strangers thought. Drinkist is one journal for everything you drink — wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and coffee — and Smart Pick recommends from a menu you photograph using your own tasting history, not a crowd average.
